Canon Pixma ts9150 Printer Review
The
Canon Pixma TS9150 is a compact, all-rounder printer which is perfect for home
use and light home-office duties. It provides more features and a noteworthy in
performance than its counterpart, the Pixma TS9150. One of those features
includes individual ink cartridges. The TS9150 comes with six of them, that
includes two black inks and one photo blue. It has 5-inch colour touch screen
with a generous size that simplifies operation.
It
is placed on a panel that hinges up at 90 degrees. All single tasks are done
with the touch screen and no physical buttons are available.
There
is an SD card slot at the left in the front bottom, that helps to print
directly from a memory card and there is no use of a PC.
A
paper cassette is placed on the underside and a vertical paper tray at the
backside. The output tray is placed on the top of the paper cassette and it
automatically extends itself to hold the prints or copies in case you forget.
Above the output trays, there is a dedicated CD/DVD disc printing slot as well.
The disc holder goes into the under of the output tray for storage.
The
TS9150 is a very compact printer that measures 14.7 wide x 5.6 inches in
height, with paper installed. However, extending the vertical paper tray in the
back makes increase the height. The primary chassis is in black, and the lid is
available in three colours of grey, gold and red.
It
has impressive print speed. The text printing of the TS9150 is one of the
fastest models in its class. It can print text document in just 26.7 seconds,
at 11.2 pages per minute, as compared to the average of 8.4 ppm.
Also,
the TS9150 can print six-page colour graphics document in about 1 minute and 46
seconds. That is faster than the 2.5-ppm average.
Print quality is high throughout. The text is printed in a
strong black shade, and letterform edges are sharp-looking. The Graphics are
printed with good, attractive saturated colours and has many detailings with
smooth textures. It is noteworthy that text print quality does not take a hit
when the duplexer is used. The two-sided printing is just as fine as the
single-sided prints, for both text and graphics.
